Random Factoids

1. About 4 times a year, I get in what I call a "cleaning mood". I furiously make plans, clean stuff out, and throw away as much as possible. Whenever it happens, I try to keep myself in that mood for as long as possible. Who knows when that is going to strike again?? Speaking of which, I need to get in one of those moods...

2. I'm super glad tax season is (almost) over. My momma and my best friend both work in the accounting world, and it sucks. (Yes, that's right, tax season stinks for the rest of us too!) Hopefully now they will have some free time again!

3. I STILL haven't painted my hallway. Total fail. I don't like the sample I painted and see #2 on where my best paint helper is every weekend (Mom, not Kristi - no offense to Kristi or anything, in fact if you want to join, the more the merrier!)

4. Will and I are embarking on a new strange phenomenon...healthy eating. People that know me are saying "what?!?" Apparently, I love things that are unhealthy. I mean, who knew eating an entire bag of candy corn over two days during Halloween was bad for you. Or, mowing through a whole box of Cheeze-Its every.single.week isn't great? More updates to come.

5. We are also still keeping up on the Crossfit/weight lifting kick. I am also throwing in some running on our days off, because I like getting out on the pavement and enjoying a beautiful day. I love that spring is here now so I can do more of that!

Renewal Baby-palooza!

For those of you who don't know, our young church is exploding with babies! At one point this spring I believe we had 9 women pregnant at one time! Think of all the babies! We have deemed it Renewal-Baby-palooza or the Renewal-baby-splosion.

Our friends and small group leaders are due in just a couple weeks, and last weekend, we had a great shower for Baby Simpson!

Line-up of bumps! (and I think we even missed a few in the middle!)

And before you ask, no, Will & I aren't planning on joining this line-up right away ;) While I pray that children are in our future, I am really enjoying this sweet stage of marriage we are in. I pray that we continue to grow closer together and closer to God before we expand our little family. I know that whatever happens, God's timing will be perfect.

Wedding Fun!

Last weekend, we got the opportunity to travel to Athens on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to attend a gorgeous wedding of some friends of ours. It was an absolutely perfect day, the kind of day you pray for when you plan an outdoor wedding.

The newlyweds played the shoe game at the reception and it was hilarious! I haven't been to a wedding that did this and it was certainly entertaining.

Us, Will's parents, and the Walker parents. We always get to spend a lot of time with this special family over the summer at the Blackmon lake house, so it was great to start that trend earlier in the spring with this wedding.

Congrats to the newlyweds!

An Easter Recap!

Easter was a few weeks back, and after a wonderful celebration at church, we went over to my aunt & uncle's house in Pickens to spend some time with the cousins!

...until she started crying

Unfortunately, the little man of the house had to take a serious nap when we were there, so it was pretty much all girl time! I love watching these little ones grow up, and can't wait to see how they continue to grow in the coming years.
